Four Top Models!
And the subconscious possible source of these four different looks...

(Posted September 27, 2009)
~ First, here they are: Natasha Poly, Jessica Stam, Lily Donaldson, and Coco Rocha ~
.
And Now the Style-Alikes!
And to define style-alikes: they are not just natural, coincidental look-alikes (or "doubles," as they are called in many languages), but rather instances where the vision of two designers, artists, or thinkers carry an uncanny similarity that is enough to suggest the existence of a creative subconscious amongst all artists--which, of course, includes the wardrobe stylists, hairdressers, makeup artists, photographers, and editors.
~ 1 ~
Russian model Natasha Poly, Numéro magazine, June-July 2007, styled by Franck Benhamou, and then
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, in power since December 2007, but shown here in a photo from October 2001.

~ 2 ~
A 1960's model showing off a lovely Valentine's hairdo shaped like heart and accessorized with a wooden Cupid's Arrow, and then Canadian model Jessica Stam, also with a somewhat heart-shaped hairdo and Cupid's bow, wearing Spring/Summer 2009 Versace dress, from the debut issue of Love magazine, published in February 2009.

She says in that brief interview that her favorite song is
"Suspicious Minds" by Elvis Presley. And that brings us to the next pair...

~ 3 ~
British model Lily Donaldson on the cover of i-D magazine, March 2007, photographed by Mario Sorrenti, and then
American actress Priscilla Presley on the cover of Wet magazine (it's about music), November/December 1981.
Long hair, New Wave eyeshadow, blush, and some other obvious similarities.

~ 4 ~
Canadian model Coco Rocha from Numéro magazine, the "Showgirl" issue, December 2006/January 2007, and then American pop singer Britney Spears on the cover of her "Greatest Hits: My Prerogative" compilation, released in November 2004, with various special editions -- hence, the two different cover photos I include here.

When that album was released, some people expressed a little skepticism or even disbelief at how true-to-life that picture of Britney Spears actually is, but photo-editing, whether with an airbrush or with Photoshop, is practically a given in the creation of album covers, magazine covers, print advertisements, publicity photos, and photo editorials. And, actually, here is something from an article published in May 2008, not about the girl on the right, but the one on the left:

>> It may seem that Rocha was born under a lucky star and has been charmed with the glamorous life that many teen girls can only dream of ever experiencing - she finds it incredibly flattering when she receives emails telling her as much - but she certainly keeps her mind on the right side of reality. "It's all about the computer these days. People might look at a picture of me and say, 'Wow, I wish I had her body,' but they should realize that I often look at a picture of myself and say, 'Wow, I wish I had my body.'"
Here's the link (and you'll see that I changed it slightly from UK to US punctuation and spelling--just so you know :D)

Гаразд, достатньо.
...which means:
OK, that's enough.

Thank you!
